Indios Bravos was initially a studio project by Piotr Banach and Piotr "Gutek" Gutkowski with a first CD release in 1999. The album was called "Part One", was sold out within a very short time and established the popularity of Indios Bravos.

The actual formation of the band came after the second album, "Mental Revolution", was recorded in 2002.

In 2004/05, Indios Bravos was by far the most successful reggae band in Poland . For the first time, a reggae band took the first place in the internet charts with five songs from "Mental Revolution". Three of them stayed in places 1 to 3 for over a year.
