Indira Gandhi National Open University

The Indira Gandhi National Open University ( IGNOU ) is a distance learning university based in New Delhi , India . It was founded in 1985 and the course began in 1987. With over three million students enrolled, it is the largest university in the world, 20% of all students in India are enrolled here. It has 21 faculties with 226 courses and 29 branch offices in 15 countries.

Vice-Rector is Nageshwar Rao.
