description

The Indian khond battle ax comes in many different versions. The blades are crescent-shaped or narrow and elongated. The blades are single-edged. A feature of all versions is that they are connected to the shaft via three struts. The struts are in wood or attached to the shaft with the help of eyes. The shafts are usually round and decorated with metal ornaments or metal wire. This battle ax was used by the warrior castes in India.
