Likwala (also Ekwala, Kwala and Likouala) is a Bantu language and is spoken by around 45,300 people in the Republic of the Congo .
It is widespread in the Cuvette department on the lower reaches of the Sangha , Likouala-Mossaka and Likouala-aux-Herbes rivers .

Likwala forms the Mbosi group with the languages Akwa , Koyo , Likuba , Mboko and Mbosi . According to the classification by Malcolm Guthrie , Likwala belongs to Guthrie Zone C30.
