Koyo (also Ekoyo and Kouyou) is the Bantu language of the Kuyu people and is spoken by around 1000 people in the Republic of the Congo .

It is common in the Cuvette department around Owando .

It belongs to the SVO languages .

classification

Koyo forms the Mbosi group with the languages Akwa , Likuba , Likwala , Mboko and Mbosi . According to the classification of Malcolm Guthrie , Koyo belongs to Guthrie Zone C30.
