An Indian steel knuckle-blower is a striking weapon used by ethnic groups in India .

description

An Indian steel knuckle is made entirely of steel . It is flat and has protruding corners. The shape is similar to the letter "D". The top is decorated with a silver floral decoration. The brass knuckles were used by a Telugu- speaking Jati ( caste ) of actors and gymnasts. A brass knuckles of this type is also the hora . Brass knuckles are still used today in the Indian martial arts Silambam , Vajramushti and Kalarippayat .
