The Trisula , also called Besi Tiga , Terisula or Trishula , is a spear from Java , which is also used in other Buddhist countries in different forms, but under the same name.

description

The trisula has three leaf-shaped, pointed, double-edged blades. The blades are attached to a metal blade head. The middle blade is larger than the two outer blades. The blade head resembles a candlestick . The model for the design of the Trisula was a weapon from Indonesian mythology . There are versions with wavy, flamed blades. The scabbards are usually made of wood and cover all three blades. The trisula is used by ethnic groups in Java.
