Jakarta Indosiar transmission tower

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Jakarta Indosiar transmission mast is the tallest structure in Indonesia . It is a 395-meter-high guyed transmission mast, completed in 2006, for broadcasting VHF radio and television programs. The Jakarta Indosiar transmission mast consists of a 375-meter-high, guyed steel framework mast with a triangular cross-section (side length: 6.3 meters), which carries a 20-meter-long transmission antenna on its top. The upper parts of the mast construction are braced to a 120 meter high, triangular steel framework construction with 56 meters side length, which surrounds the mast. This special construction, which gives the Jakarta Indosiar transmission mast its characteristic appearance, was chosen due to lack of space.
