Klause industrial park

At 87 hours, the Klause industrial park is the largest commercial and industrial area in the municipality of Lindlar . Since it was founded in 1975, 165 companies have settled there. Around 2,100 people and 100 trainees are employed there every day.

The last expansion was decided in December 2009 and amounts to 46,000 m². This means that it also represents the largest area in the industrial park. The smallest area is 800 m².

On September 17, 2008, a citizens' initiative was founded in Fenke, which dealt with the subject of "Northern expansion of the industrial area Klause in the direction of Fenke". After the council of the municipality of Lindlar approved this expansion in its meeting on March 18, 2009, the initiative was dissolved again. For the further expansion planned from 2017, the municipal administration now wants to involve the citizens more and more.

The currently (2017) planned southern extension should be 22h.

In 2010, the industrial park Klause was part of the route of the professional bike race around Cologne for the first time and was integrated into the route in the form of a mountain classification.
