Industrial pharmacist

An industrial pharmacist is a person within Germany who has completed a pharmaceutical degree and who works in the pharmaceutical industry .

  • An industrial pharmacist has a basic understanding of the mathematical and natural sciences subjects chemistry , biology , mathematics , physics and medicine .
  • He understands the requirements of drug development from the discovery of active ingredients to approval and, thanks to his interdisciplinary training, is able to support every stage of development.

After successfully completing a university degree and at least two years of practical work in drug testing, he has the knowledge required in accordance with Section 15 of the Law on Drugs and Drugs (AMG) to be able to perform the function of a " competent person " according to Section 14 of the Medicines Act.

The university degree can be completed both as a degree in pharmacy at a university or as a degree in applied pharmacy at a university of applied sciences .
