The Information Communication Technology and Cybersecurity Center (IKT & CySihZ) was integrated into the Armed Forces Base of the Austrian Armed Forces in the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMLV) as the successor organization to the Command Support and Cyber ​​Defense on April 1, 2019 . The IKT & CySihZ is responsible for:

  • Information and communication technology in the Austrian Armed Forces
  • Operation of a central data center
  • Perception of the operational monitoring centers (BÜZ) based on 365/24/7
  • Operation of the MilCERT of the Austrian Armed Forces

    • around 22,000 users at 140 locations
    • around 24,000 PC workstations (stationary and mobile) with more than 300 software products
    • 90 ICT services (including the electronic file "ELAK" of the department, internal and external mail systems, all ICT security systems and firewalls, etc.)
