Command Command Support and Cyber Defense
The Command Support & Cyber Defense ( KdoFüU & CD ) was one of the three branches of the Austrian Armed Forces from 2017 to 2019 , as well as one of four commanders of the upper management directly subordinate to the Federal Ministry for National Defense (BMLV). It was responsible for:
- the provision of command support staff and command support resources (including military geosciences and military meteorology) for deployment and exercise requirements at home and abroad
- Bringing in command support services and reaction forces (including electronic warfare forces [EloKa]) for the operations of the Austrian Armed Forces
- Operation of the situation center KdoFüU & CD and provision of the situation report, management support, cyber and ICT services as a contribution to the overall situation report of the BMLVS
- the "cyber defense" up to the operational management of a defense operation in cyber space in the event of a "military national defense in cyber space"
- Provision of ICT services and ICT systems for the Austrian Armed Forces
- Ensuring basic, advanced and advanced training in the specialist field of management support and information and communication technology

The command Command Support & Cyber Defense was established on 1 January 2017 with the renaming of the Command Support Center set up and the troops official subordination of the Command Support Battalion 1 and Command Support Battalion 2nd
On April 1, 2019, the virtual organization of the command and staff of the KdoFüU & CD was dissolved, the command support battalions 1 and 2 were subordinated to the command armed forces, and the command support school was independently integrated into the command armed forces base (KdoSKB). The remaining parts were placed directly under the KdoSKB as a new information communication technology and cybersecurity center (IKT & CySihZ).
