Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer

The Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) is a probing instrument on board a weather satellite of the MetOp series for the determination of atmospheric condition parameters with high accuracy and vertical resolution. The probing interferometer creates temperature, water vapor and profiles of trace gases in the atmosphere .
