Ingegerd of Norway

Ingegerd of Norway , also Ingegerd Haraldsdatter or Ingegerd Haraldsdotter († around 1120) was successively Queen of Denmark and Queen of Sweden through marriage .

Life

Ingegerd was a daughter of the Norwegian King Harald III. (1015-1066) and his wife Elisabeth of Kiev , daughter of Grand Duke Yaroslav the Wise . Her aunt was the French queen Anna of Kiev .

In his first marriage Ingegerd was married to the Danish King Olaf I (1058-1095). After her husband died under mysterious circumstances, she went back to Norway . She entered into another marriage with the Swedish King Philip I († 1118).
