initialization

Initialization (see English to initialize (initialize) ) means:

  • the part of the booting or loading process of a computer program in which the memory space required for execution is reserved for the program and filled with start values, see initialization file
  • In programming, the assignment of an initial value to an object or a variable
  • In operating systems such as Virtual Memory System, the formatting of data media is also referred to as initialization
