incarnation
In religion, the incarnation ( Latin incarnatio , "incarnation") is the incarnation ("incarnation") of a deity or a pre-existing soul .
The following religions know an incarnated deity:
- the Christianity , see Incarnation ;
- of Mahayana Buddhism , in which the incarnation of an incarnate manifestation is a divine being who - at least in Tibetan Buddhism - often still in a linear sequence reincarnated appears so in successive rebirths. One of the most famous of these lines of incarnation are the Dalai Lamas , the Panchen Lamas and Karmapas .
- in Hinduism in the teaching of the Avatar . The best known avatar according to this teaching is Krishna .
- in the teaching of the Ahl-e Haqq
There are also religious teachings according to which the souls of people are pre-existent and can incarnate once or several times:
