Inclusion taxi

Inclusion taxes are multifunctional, barrier-free vehicles. The converted taxis enable the user groups (both mobility-impaired people, including wheelchair users, and non-disabled people) to participate more in mobility and expand the inclusive mobility offer for barrier-free and spontaneous travel options.

Introduction of the inclusion tax in the state of Berlin

The introduction of barrier-free taxis in Berlin is a building block for the expansion of the inclusive inner-city transport network. According to the Senate, with investment aid from the State of Berlin, a total of 250 barrier-free and multifunctional inclusion taxis should be on the streets of Berlin by 2021 at the latest. This is intended to improve the spontaneity and self-determination of people with restricted mobility. With the implementation of the support program inclusion Taxi Berlin is State Office for Health and Social Affairs Berlin entrusted.
