Domestic terrorism

Domestic Terrorism (English domestic terrorism ) referred to in the United States terrorist structures and actions of Americans in the area of United States. The terminology distinguishes the form of terrorism that is committed by foreign forces against targets in their own country. In the United States, the FBI is responsible for combating domestic terrorism.

Actions by radical political or religious groups are counted as domestic terrorism. However, ideological hate crimes committed by individual perpetrators , such as the attack on the Chabad Synagogue in the Californian city ​​of Poway in 2019, are also included. As of 2019, the FBI was investigating 850 domestic terrorism cases.
