Inscript

Inscript (Indian Script; Hindi: इन्स्क्रिप्ट; inscript) is a keyboard layout for entering Indian scripts on a computer.

This layout is standardized by the Indian government, it was developed by the Indian software company CDAC.

Inscript has the same layout for all Indian scripts. With the same assignment, someone who knows one Indian script can also write everyone else.

Inscript keyboard layout is now part of all newer operating systems including Windows ( 2000 , XP , Vista ), Linux and Macintosh .
