Insolvency Regulation (abbreviated IO) is the name of the law in Austria that regulates insolvency proceedings. The law emerged from the bankruptcy code as part of a large-scale amendment ( Insolvency Law Amendment Act 2010 - IRÄG 2010 ), which came into force on July 1, 2010 . This was put into effect together with the compensation order and the contestation order by the imperial ordinance of December 10, 1914 on the introduction of a bankruptcy order, a compensation order and a contestation order .

After the repeal of the compensation order by the IRÄG 2010, the insolvency order is the most important legal source of the insolvency law . The latter, in turn, is part of the foreclosure procedure in civil proceedings .
