The Agency for Cartography and Geology Catalan Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC) Spanish Instituto Cartográfico y Geológico de Cataluña is active in the fields of geodesy , cartography , geology and geophysics in the Spanish sub-area of Catalonia .

The Cartographic and Geological Institute for Catalonia (ICGC) was created on February 1, 2014 from a merger of the predecessor organizations "Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya" (ICC) and the "Institut Geològic de Catalunya" (IGC). The institute is a "corporation under public law" with administrative, technical and economic autonomy.

The responsibility includes the areas of geodesy and cartography for the spatial data infrastructure of Catalonia as well as the promotion and implementation of measures in connection with knowledge, prospecting and information about the nature of the soil and the subsoil.

In order to optimize the photogrammetric and cartographic applications, the office provides its services via the geographic information system (GIS).
