Insulin food combining

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As insulin food combining is a food combining -Ernährungssystem designated for losing weight, which is after the insulin household depends. It was developed by the Essen nutritionist and non-fiction author Detlef Pape (1954–2017). The aim is to lower the insulin level through a targeted selection of foods and long breaks between meals. A high level of insulin in the blood inhibits the breakdown of fat ( lipolysis ) from the body's fat cells ( adipocytes ).

The German Nutrition Society (DGE) advises against insulin food combining, as separating carbohydrates and proteins in food makes no sense and is very complicated in everyday life. Contrary to previous assumptions, the body can digest carbohydrates and proteins at the same time. In addition, carbohydrates - especially grain products - are an important part of a healthy diet. Although the theoretical justification for this and similar (Hay's food combining, food combining according to Martin Noelke) diet forms has been refuted, they could have a positive effect on blood sugar levels; a sufficient supply of nutrients is guaranteed.
