Intake Cemetery (Sheffield)

Intake Cemetery Chapel

The Intake (Village) Cemetery is one of the many cemeteries in the British city of Sheffield in South Yorkshire and is located on Mansfield Road.

It extends over 49,000 m². The cemetery has a Grade I listed chapel designed by Innocent & Brown . The first burial took place on February 16, 1880

There are a number of Commonwealth War Graves in the cemetery , including 4 victims of the First World War and 21 victims of the Second World War .

The cemetery should not be confused with the former Intake Cemetery, which was later renamed City Road Cemetery due to its location .
