Intensive information management system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Intensive information management systems (IMS) are special clinical workplace systems (KAS) that are tailored to the needs of intensive care units . In addition to complete basic and progress documentation, most IMS also contain prescription systems for pharmacotherapy , as well as nursing and medical measures.

An essential feature of the intensive care systems is the automatic data transfer from the medical devices such as the vital signs monitors (monitoring devices) or the ventilators .
