Anesthesia Information Management System

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anesthesia information management systems are special clinical workstation systems for anesthesia. Various acronyms (AIMS, AMS) and synonyms (e.g. electronic anesthesia protocol) are used for these systems in literature and practice. They belong to the patient data management systems . As with the intensive care systems, an essential feature of the AIMS is the automatic data transfer from the medical devices such as the vital data monitors (monitoring devices) or the anesthetic ventilators .
