Intercultural week

The nationwide Intercultural Week (IKW) is an initiative of the German Bishops' Conference , the Evangelical Church in Germany and the Greek Orthodox Metropolis .

It has been taking place since 1975 at the end of September and is supported and supported by churches, trade unions , charitable associations , municipalities , integration officers and advisory boards , migrant organizations and initiative groups. Around 5,000 events are held in more than 550 cities and towns. The nationwide Refugee Day held at the end of September is part of the IKW.

“Diversity unites.” Is the motto of IKW 2018.
