Intermetamorphosis

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The intermetamorphosis is a rare form of delusional Miss identification , delusional when sufferers are convinced that a person in the sense of metamorphosis and transformation physically and mentally to another person turns have. Objects of madness can be animals or objects in addition to people.

history

The phenomenon of intermetamorphosis was first described in France in 1932. It was not until 46 years later that Christodoulou (1978) published a second clinical case. Up to 1990, a total of four further case reports on the disease had appeared (Young et al. 1990). The reason for the small number of cases described seems to be, on the one hand, the low incidence rate; on the other hand, it can be assumed that the specific symptoms are only inadequately recognized clinically.
