International Allelopathy Society
The International Allelopathy Society (in German: International Allelopathievereinigung), also briefly IAS called, is a scientific society with the area of interest of allelopathy and allelochemical interactions between different organisms in different ecosystems. It emerged in the mid-1990s and was formally established by its first statute in 1998. Reigosa-Roger has been President of the IAS since 2017.
Since 1996, the IAS has organized a conference on allelopathy every three years, which usually has between 200 and 350 visitors from various fields of science. During this event, the IAS will award four prizes. These are:
- The Molisch Prize for great achievements in the field of allelopathy research.
- The Grodzinsky Prize for the best scientific publication in the last three years.
- The Rice Award for the best oral presentation by a student at the convention.
- The poster award for the best poster at the congress.
Since the 7th Congress 2014, the IAS has published the Journal of Allelochemical Interactions .
