International Association for Cereal Science and Technology

The International Association for Cereal Science and Technology (ICC) (International Society for Cereal Science and Technology ) was founded in 1955 at the 3rd International Bread Congress in Hamburg and is headquartered in Vienna , Austria . It was originally called the International Association for Cereal Chemistry . The society was founded to develop and publish international inspection standards for grain and flour inspections. It currently has around 30 member states; another 5 states have observer status. The association is independent and internationally recognized as a forum for grain scientists and technologists. The purpose of the association is to standardize and publish methods by which laboratories around the world can exchange and compare their test results.

The current president and chairman of the executive committee is Fengcheng Wang. Technical Director is Amine Jbeily from the Industrial Research Institute in Lebanon .
