International Crossminton Organization

The International Crossminton Organization , ICO for short, is the world association of the trend sport Crossminton based in Berlin . It was founded on August 25, 2011 on the occasion of the 1st Speed ​​Badminton World Championship . The President of the ICO is Matjaz Sustersic. Until the end of 2015 it was called the "International Speed ​​Badminton Organization", but was also renamed in the course of the renaming of the sport from "Speed ​​Badminton" to "Crossminton".

Tournaments

1st AZIMUT Hotels Speedminton® World Championships Germany 2011

On August 26, 2011 and August 27, 2011, the 1st World Championship in Speed ​​Badminton took place in Berlin under the name "1st AZIMUT Hotels Speedminton® World Championships Germany 2011" . The opening event took place on August 25, 2011. The venue was the tennis grounds of the LTTC Rot-Weiß Berlin . The finals were played in the traditional Steffi Graf Stadium. The organizing club was the Speedminton® Gekkos Berlin eV The game was played in ten categories in which 370 participants from 29 nations battled for the title. What was special about this was that there were no fourth places because third place was not played out. So there were two bronze medalists in each category.

2nd ISBO Speedminton® World Championships Germany 2013

For the 2nd World Championship in Speed ​​Badminton from June 13th to 15th, 2013 the Tennis Club LTTC Rot-Weiß Berlin made its facility available again. In addition to 14 clay courts, Court B with grandstand and the Steffi Graf Stadium were available for the World Cup. The games of the Juniors U14 were played in the hall. Two speed badminton courts could be set up on each tennis court. The games were played on 32 normal and 4 youth courts in the hall. For the finals, the specially made final court was set up again in the Steffi Graf Stadium.

3rd ISBO Speedminton® World Championships Germany 2015

The 3rd World Championship in Crossminton took place again in Berlin.

4th ICO Speedminton® World Championships Poland 2017

The 4th World Championship in Crossminton took place in Warsaw (Poland).

5th ICO Crossminton World Championships powered by Speedminton® Hungary 2019

The 5th World Championship in Crossminton took place in Budapest (Hungary).
