The 1st World Championships in Speed ​​Badminton took place on August 26, 2011 and August 27, 2011 under the name "1st AZIMUT Hotels Speedminton World Championships Germany 2011" in Berlin . The opening event and founding of the World Speed ​​Badminton Association ISBO took place on August 25, 2011. The venue was the tennis grounds of the LTTC Rot-Weiß Berlin . The finals were played in the traditional Steffi Graf Stadium. In addition to 16 clay courts, Court B with grandstand and the Steffi Graf Stadium were available for the World Cup. Two speed badminton courts could be set up on each tennis court. The games were played on 32 normal and 4 youth courts. A special feature was the final court specially made for the World Cup, which was also set up for the finals in the Steffi Graf Stadium.
