The International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM) , founded in 1974, is an association of 48 national and regional purchasing associations, within which around 250,000 buyers are organized. The IFPSM is a non-political, independent and non-profit international organization.
The term “procurement” refers to the terms purchasing, materials management, logistics, supply chain management and strategic sourcing.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) works with IFPSM in the field of sustainable procurement .
The IFPSM is recognized as an international association that facilitates the development and sharing of purchasing and procurement management practices through the network of member organizations.
