International Swimming Hall of Fame / open water swimmers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The following list shows the 9 open water swimmers who have been inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame since 1965 . Open water swimmers are listed separately here, as international competitions with comparable conditions were missing for a long time in this discipline. Success in canal swimming is therefore usually required as a yardstick for recording .

In addition to the athlete's name and nation, the year of admission to the Hall of Fame and the high point of his career (defined as the time between the first and last international success) are given.
