The International Finance Corporation (Engl. International Finance Corporation - IFC ), headquartered in Washington, DC is an international development bank , which the as part of the World Bank Group has specialized in the promotion of private enterprise.
tasks
The IFC has the task of promoting the development of the private sector in developing and emerging countries; to this end, it offers loans, equity investments, guarantees and a range of financing products on commercial terms. The IFC takes on an international leadership role in the development and implementation of social and environmental standards in cooperation with the private sector.
