International gaited horse association

The International Gaited Horse Association (IGV) is an amalgamation of German breed associations for gaited horses based in Siegburg . In 2008 it had 1500 members, the majority of whom were affiliated through racial associations.

The office is located in Bad Honnef in the Rhein-Sieg district on the southern edge of North Rhine-Westphalia, the IGV service point in Erftstadt , Rhein-Erft district, North Rhine-Westphalia.

The association initiated the first cross-breed training and examination regulations for gaited horses and is constantly developing them. The focus of the International Gaited Horse Association is on the organization of sports tournaments for gaited horses, it also trains trainers, awards riding badges, organizes trade fair appearances and represents the diversity of gaited horse sport.
