International Society for Engineering Education

The International Society for Engineering Education ( IGIP ) was founded in 1972 in Klagenfurt / Austria . According to its own information, it represents the largest international network of universities that deal with the training of engineers. It maintains close cooperation with the organizations ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education) and the European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI ), founded in 1973 ) .

Today the IGIP has members in 72 countries worldwide. She has advisory status with UNESCO and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) .
