International Confederation of Workers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The International Confederation of Workers * inside (Engl. (IKA) International Confederation of Labor , ICL) is a worldwide association of anarcho-syndicalist and revolutionary syndicalist unions .

The IKA was founded on May 13, 2018 in Parma ( Italy ) after the trade unions Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT), Free Workers 'Union (FAU) and Unione Sindacale Italiana (USI) from the International Workers' Association in 2016 (IAA) were excluded. The reason for the exclusion was a criticism of the IAA and a desired organizational reorientation. In addition to these three organizations, the founding members include ESE ( Greece ), FORA ( Argentina ), IP ( Poland ) and IWW ( USA and Canada ). In addition, delegates from five other grassroots unions attended the Congress as observers.

main emphasis

The IKA focuses on the networking of its members and the exchange of knowledge. For this purpose, meetings are held repeatedly in different places.
