International Family Day
The International Day of Families is an official day of remembrance of the United Nations . It takes place annually on May 15th .
history
It was introduced in 1993 by resolution RES / 47/237 . Every year the Secretary General of the UN draws attention to the applicable motto. From 1996 this read:
