International Friendship Day
The International Friendship Day (Engl. International Day of Friendship ) is a year on July 30 committed Remembrance Day , which the importance of friendship to remind between people, countries and cultures. This day was initiated by the Cruzada Mundial para la Amistad initiative founded in Paraguay in 1958 . Independently of this, “Days of Friendship” were also celebrated on different days of the year in other countries, such as July 20th in Argentina , Brazil and Uruguay or the 1st Sunday in August in the USA and parts of Asia.
International Friendship Day was proclaimed on April 27, 2011 by the General Assembly of the United Nations . According to the UN resolution, all member states, UN organizations, other international and regional organizations, civil society, non-governmental organizations and individuals are invited to celebrate this day in accordance with cultural and other local customs.
