International Jazz Day

International Jazz Day is April 30th . The 36th General Conference of UNESCO had proclaimed it in November 2011. The aim of the day of remembrance and action is to "remember the artistic significance of jazz, its roots and its global impact on cultural development."

It was first committed in 2012; Klaus Doldinger also took part in the opening event in Paris on April 27th .
