International Repair Day

The International Day for repair was introduced in 2017 to the value and importance of repairing and events such as Repair cafes to promote. The day of action takes place annually on the third Sunday in October, for the first time on October 21, 2017. On the second day of action on October 20, 2018, the focus was on the right to repair : the right to access appropriate information, tools and spare parts and the need for Products that are more durable , efficient and repairable.

The International Repair Day is organized by the Open Repair Alliance, an international grouping of organizations that work together to make electronic products more durable and repairable: The Repair Cafe Foundation from the Netherlands, The Restart Project from the UK, iFixit , The Foundation " Incitement and Fixit Clinic from the United States.
