International year of chemistry

The International Year of Chemistry 2011 ( English International Year of Chemistry in 2011 ) was at the 63rd UN proclaimed General Assembly in December of 2008. It was under the motto “ Chemistry —our life , our future ”.

Various events took place around the world throughout the year. The closing event took place on December 1, 2011 in Brussels .
