International Puppet Theater Festival Synergura

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The International Puppet Theater Festival Synergura is a biennial of puppet theater and presents national and international productions at different venues in the state capital Erfurt . The organizer is the Theater Waidspeicher Erfurt . The name of the festival is a reference to synergy ( Greek συνεργία synergía , or συνεργισμός , synergismós , "cooperation"). What is meant is the puppet theater, which is able to achieve greater effects in the interaction of the creative and performing arts than any individual discipline on its own.

history

After the last edition of this festival took place in Erfurt from June 23rd to 30th, 1990 with the 5th National Puppet Theater Festival of the GDR , the ensemble of the Waidspeicher Theater around Monika Bohne started an independent puppet theater festival and organized it from 4th to 9th June 1990 July 1992 on the occasion of the 1250th anniversary of the city of Erfurt the “Synergura '92”.
