Interparfums is the name of a French fragrance manufacturing company and its US parent company. The French Interparfums SA is part of the CAC Small index, the American Interparfums Inc. is traded on the NASDAQ . The French Interparfums was founded in 1982 by Philippe Benacin and Jean Madar and initially sold perfumes for the mass market. Over time, the company focused on higher-priced branded perfumes. Interparfums holds, among other things, the licenses to sell scented waters under the brands "Coach", "Jimmy Choo", "Karl Lagerfeld" and "Montblanc". The US American Interparfums Inc. was founded in 1985 as a holding company for Interparfums SA and is 45% owned by the company founders Benacin and Madar. Interparfums Inc. holds 73% of the shares in Interparfums SA.
