Intradermally

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
intradermal / -cutaneous application of a tuberculin test

Intradermal (also intracutaneous ) means "located in the (leather) skin " or "into the skin". When a drug is administered , the skin is not pierced, but rather it is introduced into the skin itself. The intradermal administration of medication should not be confused with epicutaneous (on the skin) or subcutaneous (under the skin) administration.

This technique is used, for example, in allergy tests , tuberculin tests , neural therapies or certain vaccinations .
