The Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB) is the central funding institute of the State of Berlin . The aim of the funding is the Berlin economy and housing construction.

tasks

The main focus of the IBB lies in the economic development of small and medium-sized enterprises (short SMEs ). With monetary funding offers, comprehensive advice on financing, and funding and loan processing based on business criteria , they primarily support innovative, technology-oriented companies in Berlin. In addition, IBB offers individual financing solutions for investors in the real estate promotion sector.

history

  • 1924 Established as a housing association Berlin mbH to finance housing construction in Berlin
  • 1937 Conversion to the housing credit institution of the Reich capital Berlin (as a legal community institution)
  • 1965 Conversion to the Berlin Housing Loan Corporation as an institution under public law. The housing loan institute Berlin becomes a capital collection point for loans according to § 17 Berlin Promotion Act
  • 1993 conversion to the Investitionsbank Berlin with expansion of the tasks to include business development; Integration into Landesbank Berlin as an economically and organizationally independent department
  • 2004 Spin-off from Landesbank Berlin and independence as Investitionsbank Berlin, an institution under public law with an institutional burden and a refinancing guarantee from the State of Berlin
