Incision

An incision (from the Latin "incisura" - cut) is an indentation or incision.

In medicine , the term is used for indentations in bones or organs as well as for curve progressions (for example, when the blood pressure drops between systolic and diastolic pressure , the blood pressure curve shows an incision due to a short-term lowering of the blood pressure when the aortic valve closes ).
