Ioan Codruț Șereș

Ioan Codruț Șereș (born August 2, 1969 in Zalău , Sălaj County ) is a Romanian politician.

education and profession

From 1988 to 1993 he completed an engineering degree at the Technical Military Academy in Bucharest , later he studied in Canada and the USA. From 1993 to 1999 he worked for the Romanian Ministry of Defense, then until 2004 for various companies.

politics

He was a candidate for the Romanian Humanist Party (PUR), a social-liberal group, in the presidential election in November 2004; since 2005 the PUR has been operating under the name Partidul Conservator and now represents more Christian-conservative positions. From December 2004 to December 2006 Șereș was in the cabinet of Prime Minister Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu Minister of Economy and Trade of his country. From 2004 to 2008 he was a member of the Romanian Senate .
