Caroline Evers-Swindell
Caroline Evers-Swindell (born October 10, 1978 in Hastings ) is a former New Zealand rower . She competed in races in the double scull competition class with her identical twin sister Georgina .
In 2001 she won silver with the double scull and the double scull at the World Rowing Championships in Lucerne . Together with her sister, she won the gold medal in double sculls at the 2002 World Championships in Seville and 2003 in Milan . Also with her sister, she became Olympic champion at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens .
After winning the world championship title again in Gifu in 2005 , he won bronze in 2006 and silver in 2007 . At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, the sisters fought a close duel with the German Annekatrin Thiele and Christiane Huth , with a lead of a hundredth of a second the two New Zealanders won their second Olympic gold medal.
In 2016 she and her sister Georgina were awarded the Thomas Keller Medal by the World Rowing Association.
