Donata Vištartaitė (married name Donata Karalienė ; born June 11, 1989 in Gūbriai , district of Šilalė ) is a Lithuanian rower .

Athletic career

The 1.70 m wide Donata Vištartaitė occupied at the Junior World Championships in 2006 to seventh place in the one at the Junior World Championships in 2007 she won the bronze medal. At the U23 World Championships in 2008, she finished ninth in the double scull with Lina Saltytė . At the European Championships in 2008 , the two finished eighth and last, they also competed with the double fours and came in sixth place out of six boats. In 2009 Donata Vištartaitė started again in one. She reached fourth place at the U23 World Championships and seventh place at the European Championships . In 2010 she reached an A-final in the rowing world cup for the first time and won the U23 world championships. Donata Vištartaitė has been rowing double sculls with Milda Valčiukaitė since 2013 , and in their first season together, the two won both the European and World Championships . In 2014, the two finished second in the World Cup three times, and in fourth place they missed the medal ranks at the World Championships . The 2015 rowing season began for the Lithuanians with a silver medal at the European Championships . At the beginning of July, he won the Universiade . At the world championships they reached fifth place. In 2016, the two Lithuanians won their preliminary run at the 2016 Olympic Games , took second place in the semifinals and won the bronze medal in the final. It was the third Olympic medal in rowing for Lithuania .

From 2014 to 2016 she was part of Lithuania's women's team of the year three times in a row .

Private

On September 3, 2016, Vištartaitė married and took the married name Karalienė.
